Friends are a wonderful gift, and they enrich our lives in so many ways. In fact, there are times when friends know what is good for you, even when you don’t know what is good for yourself. They know you better than anyone, and they know who that perfect someone is for you – which makes them the ultimate matchmaker. Few people understand this better than Lauren and Adrian, who were set up by their friends. After going to a movie for their first date, there was an instant connection. Adrian proposed on his birthday at a restaurant right on the water in front of both their friends and families, and of course, Lauren said yes.Judah Avenue met with the couple at the College Park Marriott in Hyattsville, MD where Lauren was getting ready for the big moment surrounded by her closest girlfriends and family. While the transformation began with hair and makeup, when Lauren slipped into her gown, she transformed into a goddess.
Just down the hall from Lauren was Adrian, her groom, getting ready for the ceremony surrounded by his own crew. His transformation was just as glorious, and by the time he was finished, he looked sharp, smart and ready to take over the world.
Then, it was off to the ceremony! Lauren and Adrian chose the University of Maryland Chapel as the locale for their wedding ceremony and guests eagerly awaited the arrival of the wedding party. When Lauren arrived, she commanded the attention of the entire room. Adrian was brought to tears once he got a glimpse of his beautiful, blushing bride. The couple lovingly exchanged their vows and sealed their new relationship with a kiss as the audience cheered.
By the time we arrived at the couple’s reception at the College Park Marriott, guests were already mingling throughout the room. The wedding cake stood proudly in the corner, and the reception tables were elegantly and carefully decorated for the occasion.Once the dining portion of the reception was over, the evening shifted in full-force toward dancing and speeches, toasts and jokes. Everyone at the wedding wanted to get a shot of the new bride and groom as they danced with each other. There were blessings showered down on the couple, and it was clear how loved Lauren and Adrian are loved by all their friends and family. It didn’t matter what shot we got throughout the evening as the bride and groom looked as perfect as they did when they stepped out from their hotel earlier that afternoon.
