Many couples can look back over their lives and see the exact moment when fate intervened and they found each other. There are those who wonder what would have happened if they had just arrived a few minutes earlier or a few minutes later – and whether that would mean that they would have ended up together, or if they would have missed each other. For Zepur and Ryan, it didn’t matter who was late – in fact, Zepur didn’t even show up the day they were supposed to meet for the first time. It was Halloween, and she didn’t feel like going out with her friends, which unbeknownst to her meant she was missing meeting her future husband, Ryan, for the first time. But, fate intervened, and she ended up meeting him subsequently on a double date with friends the next summer. Though the two of them are incredibly introverted, she thought he was incredibly handsome, although slightly cocky. Ryan, on the other hand, fell in love with Zepur at first sight. The night was supposed to continue, but Ryan had a video game tournament that he wanted to attend, and Zepur wasn’t impressed – at first. In fact, six months went by before they officially started dating – or even kissed.
After the relationship went into full swing, many friends began pressing Ryan to propose – but it took five months before he did it. Once he finally made up his mind to ask Zepur to marry him, Ryan chose to take her to the house they were building for Zepur’s mother and sister, but they were on their phones nearly the entire time, which annoyed Zepur. As she was becoming more agitated, he told her to look out the window to calm down a few minutes. When she turned back around, he was on his knee, tearfully asking her to be his bride. The biggest thing the couple looked forward to at the wedding was being able to be done with all the planning, and joining their families together officially and happily.
The Judah Avenue Photography team met with the couple as each got ready for their big moment. Zepur was in her room at the Embassy Suites in Washington, D.C. with all her friends and loved ones, sharing smiles and laughter at every turn. Her bridal party was smaller than some, but each hand was eager to help her with her hair and makeup, transforming this beautiful girl into a stunning bride. Down the hall, Ryan was also getting ready surrounded by his own loved ones. As with Zepur, everyone gleefully helped him get ready for his big day. By the time he was ready, all the men were dressed in their best and looking sharp. Then, it was off to the ceremony!Zepur and Ryan tied the knot at the St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church as their closest friends and loved ones looked on. All eyes were on the bride as she walked up the aisle to meet her groom. After the couple lovingly shared their vows, their first kiss as husband and wife was praised loudly by the crowd. We snapped many shots of the new Mr. and Mrs. along with their wedding parties, getting as many different looks and angles as we could. It didn’t seem to matter – each new shot brought more smiles and laughter from everyone.
The reception was at the elegantly decorated Foxchase Manor in DC, and by the time the bride and groom arrived, the guests had already filled the floor. There was dancing, speeches, toasts and blessings. Tables were loaded with fresh fruits and vegetables, and laughter filled the air. The couple was blessed by everyone, and it was clear they are very dearly loved by all their friends and family.
We snapped a final parting shot of Zepur and Ryan with sparklers and an electrifying kiss, wrapping up the most important day in their lives.
