Psalm 37:4 says “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” This verse brings such joy and comfort, and few people know that better than Amber and Daniel, who have treasured this verse throughout their journey together. Amber and Daniel met at church after Daniel had been attending for a while. Seeing a beautiful young woman, he decided to ask a friend about her, not realizing that the friend was the girl’s cousin.
It wasn’t long before Amber decided to ask her cousin about Daniel, and that is when their journey began. They went on their first date at a restaurant called Grace’s Mandarin, a cute little place at the National Harbor. Amber wore silver heels Daniel was so smitten with she even wore them again for their engagement photos!
Always a man for romance, Daniel proposed to Amber high in the air in the middle of a ferris wheel ride, completely catching Amber off guard. Of course, she said yes – and when they returned to the ground, friends and family rushed around them, offering their support and congratulations. These were the same friends and family surrounding Amber when we at Judah Avenue caught up to them in Largo, Maryland, when their big day arrived. As Amber got ready at the Greater Morning Star Apostolic Ministries, we took the opportunity to snap some photos of her getting her hair and makeup done.
Hugs and happy tears were spread around the room as the bridesmaids helped each other get into their beautiful sequined dresses before helping Amber step into her bridal gown. By the time they had finished, she looked like an angel who had stepped right out of heaven. Both parents were tearful as they beheld their beautiful daughter on her big day.
Meanwhile, Daniel was getting ready himself in another room. Also surrounded by loved ones, jokes and laughs were shared almost as often as the congratulations.
Downstairs, guests had already filled the sanctuary from wall to wall and they all eagerly waited for the procession to begin. The entire wedding company looked regal in their suits and dresses, making ready the way for the bride. All eyes were on Amber as she proudly walked up the aisle next to her father.
A prayer was said, and the ceremony began. The bride and groom were so loving as they exchanged their vows, it brought many people to tears watching them. Though being pronounced husband and wife was the biggest thing the couple looked forward to on their big day, that wasn’t the end of the ceremony. In fact, the celebration was just beginning.
The reception hall had been gloriously decorated with all kinds of different light fixtures, decorations, and sweets. The cake was perfectly complimented with a variety of candies, cupcakes, and cookies, providing each guest with more than enough sweetness. We love these photos of the bride and groom cutting their cake together!
While the party started in the next room, we took the chance to take some photos of the bride and groom with their loved ones, as well as with each other for the first time as man and wife.It was a perfect day for photos both inside and out, and the couple turned heads everywhere they went. Eager to begin their new lives together, we snapped a few final photos as the couple stepped into their limo – ready to be taken to their honeymoon.
Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your special day, it’s clear that you are going to have many, many beautiful years together, and all of us here at Judah Avenue want to extend our congratulations.
