Kristene and Desmond’s Super Fabulous Wedding at Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Hotel in Baltimore – Maryland Wedding Photographer

Look at all of this gorgeousness in one post! Kristene and Desmond are an absolutely fun and beautiful couple and what an incredible wedding day! Right from the minute we walked in and met the bridal party we knew we were in for a blast! We enjoyed working with them and getting to photograph their beautiful wedding at the Royal Sonesta Harbor hotel in Baltimore, Maryland. This shot alone sets the tone for the day!:)

As wedding photographers, it’s always amazing to see how all the months of planning come together and we want to make sure that we cover every last detail. In the case of Kristene and Desmond’s wedding, they had lots of beautiful details – even the ring that our groom Desmond got married with was a small black plastic band. 

We’d never seen anything like it before but he explained that it really was an inexpensive band called a Qalo. He works in the navy and didn’t want to worry about it getting damaged so instead of a gold band he opted for a Qalo. We eagerly snapped photos of Kristene’s gown and ring as she got ready for the special moment with her friends and family gathered around. You can really see the love on all the faces of her bridesmaids, especially when we snapped a photo of the company gathered on the bed with their bouquets.

Kristene took everyone’s breath away when she slipped into her gown and donned her gorgeous tiara. Standing in front of the window she looks like a queen right out of a fairy tale. But before that we got a few snaps of her and bridesmaids just having fun and being themselves:)

The bride’s chamber wasn’t the only room filled with excitement, however, as Desmond dressed in his stunning military uniform surrounded by his own friends and family members. Once ready, we took as many photos as we could of both the bride and groom as they waited for the big moment to arrive.

Friends and family members flooded into the Brighton’s room of the hotel and eagerly took their seats, waiting for the moment the bride would appear. Groomsmen walked the bridesmaids down the aisle and took their place at the front of the room, and flower girls spread petals along the path.

Then Kristene appeared. She elegantly walked to the front of the room, escorted by her father. She then took her place next to Desmond, and the couple lovingly exchanged their vows. More than one of the guests teared up at the beauty of the scene, and we photographers were happy to catch it all with our cameras.

The fun had just begun. After the ceremony, we were privileged to photograph the newlyweds in various places of the hotel, capturing the excitement and love these two young lovers share.

After having their photos taken, the couple joined their friends and family members in the Whitehall of the hotel for their reception. Instead of having a guest book as many newlyweds do, Desmond and Kristene had the unique idea of saving their well wishes from their family and friends to open on their first anniversary.

Speeches were made and congratulations echoed through the room as each member of the company shared their support and encouragement for the newlyweds – then it was time for the dancing.

Even the children got into the action with moves of their own. Laughter rang through the hall, and the group celebrated long into the afternoon. We wedding photographers did what we do best and captured all the action, enjoying ourselves as much as the guests themselves. We were thrilled to be a part of this special day, and congratulate Desmond and Kristene on the start of their new happy life together.
