Lauren is one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met and Ben cannot keep his eyes (and hands:)) off her. It quickly became apparent within a few minutes of meeting them that these two were meant for each other. The smiles came easily, the hands roved over each other’s back reassuringly, the connection was real, sweet and tangible! They agreed on everything, especially the fact that they wanted Judah Avenue as their wedding photographer for their wedding at Pinstripes in Georgetown. And so we fell for them, hard!
Jill Dudley the wedding planner, ensured that everything went according to plan. The decor was simple sweet and impeccably gorgeous with elements of Ben and Lauren’s personality. For example, instead of a traditional guestbook they opted for a simple plain book scrapped with cool polaroid photos of and messages from the guests.
The wedding location itself – Pinstripes at Georgetown – was as unconventional and fun as our lovely couple. Set right on the Georgetown C and O canal, the venue boasts of a bowling alley, a bustling restaurant with a neighborhood feel and real indoor bocce – a french/Italian game that Lauren’s family has played for years.
The groom, Ben, brewed beer for their guests and we managed to get a hand on one of the bottles before the ceremony begun. We thought a photo of the ring on the custom brewed beer bottle would be a great memoir of the wedding day.
We had an amazing time serving as Lauren and Ben’s wedding photographers!
A few of our faves from their engagement shoot last fall:)
Cheers to you both! It was a pleasure to be your wedding photographers at your gorgeous wedding at Pinstripes. We wish you all the best of love and life. See you back soon on the avenue!
