Melinda and Brandon’s wedding held at the Mansion on O Street in Washington, DC was unique and oh so enchanting!.The bride’s elegant bouquet featured white roses and calla lilies, accented with a festive black peacock feather and bound with a bit of sparkle – a theme that, combined with the wedding colors of purple, black, silver – echoed through the celebration in the bride’s gown, the table centerpieces, and the wedding cake, as well as in the attire worn by the groom, groomsmen, and bridesmaids. This was another stunning celebration by wedding planner extraordinaire Shawn Gray of Trebella Events!
The Mansion on O Street is a unique atmosphere filled with an incredibly diverse collection of art, artifacts, photography, memorabilia, literature from around the world – which creates both a welcoming and a truly fascinating setting for weddings and receptions. The historic venue, which encompasses five townhouses (and reportedly boasts over seventy secret doorways), was originally designed in 1892 and is a stunning example of the rich cultural and historical traditions of our nation’s capital. The mansion offers themed rooms, lodging, more than thirty distinct dining areas, and wedding and reception packages. The venue can accommodate both intimate and larger scale events, up to three hundred guests.
At Judah Avenue Photography, it is our distinct pleasure to share in the celebrations that will create a lifetime of memories for our clients and their guests. We wish Melinda and Brandon the very best in their new life!
The couple dined in a romantic setting, with multiple chandeliers overhead highlighting a beautifully ornate ceiling, and candlelight from each table playing off the crystal ware, filling the room with a lovely glow. The wedding cake was a four-layer stunner that started off with a base layer of purple calla lilies, followed by intricately crafted black and purple flowers, silver stripes festooned with sparkle, and topping it all was a glamorous capital R. Wedding favors included graceful pyramids of herbal teas.
