The Overhills Mansion in Catonsville, Maryland has been a part of Julia’s family for three generations now and I was absolutely thrilled when Julia contacted me to be her wedding photographer. I mean come on, this is a venue that hosts over 150 weddings every year. I know she has worked with her fair share of wedding photographers in Maryland, but she chose Judah Avenue to document her lovely wedding day.
With its beautiful stately columns, quaint fences and almost surreal lighting, this lovely mansion is the home of Whitehouse Caterers – one of the most popular wedding caterers in Maryland (their food is amazing too) – and I always have a blast working there. Julia and Will are a couple full of so much life, as you will see from their wedding photographs below. It wasn’t surprising that Julia and I became instantaneous friends from the moment we met! Will is her perfect match and I wish them a beautiful married life. There were so many amazing moments in this wedding but I can only display a few on my blog. So enjoy the photographs from the beautiful wedding day!
On your wedding day, it’s important for brides to take a few moments of peace and quiet to meditate on the beautiful journey that is about to begin.
This photo was important to the bride because over 20 years ago, her parents stood in the same spot for this same photograph on their wedding day.
Bride surprised wedding guests with a peacock at the reception!
What is a phenomenal wedding collection without the unscripted moments – like this one right here when we caught the couple’s parents photobombing Julia and Will’s bridal party photo shoot. She turned to see them at the exact moment I caught them in action.
The groom’s brother is stationed overseas and was unable to be present for the wedding so he made a little video for the bride and groom which brought them to tears!
Anyone can be a father, but it takes a special man to be a dad.
