Sometimes, when you ask God for what you want, He can and will deliver. Before she got married, Priscilla went through the exercise of rehearsing which surnames would sound good with her first name when she married. In her top 3 surnames was the last name Bonsu. At the time, she didn’t have any suitors with that last name courting her, but little did she know that her eventual husband, Kevin, would be the Bonsu man of her dreams.
After a long distance relationship that spanned continents for two years, Priscilla and Kevin did their traditional Ghanaian engagement ceremony in 2011. A court wedding followed a year later. At the time, they promised themselves that in the 7th year of their marriage, they would do their white wedding after they had their children. Although they haven’t yet had any offspring together, they maintained their mutual promise and put on the white wedding of their dreams this year at The Fiesta in Wood-Ridge, N.J. We are so honored to be chosen for Priscilla and Kevin’s white wedding ceremony and we want to congratulate them on 7 years of successful marriage and we wish them many, many more!
Priscilla’s wedding was so beautiful, there were so many details to photograph and a touching and heartwarming story behind many of them. For example, Priscilla had sketched out her wedding dress three times and kept it sketch hoping and dreaming for the day they would become a reality. She wore her third and final design on her wedding day and brought them as details to be photographed.
