There’s a saying about love and life that was made famous by an Aaliyah song: “If at first you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again.” We don’t know if Michael is specifically an Aaliyah fan or not, but he certainly embodies the spirit of this adage. You see, Michael had his eye on Obinne for some time and he hounded a relative who knew Obinne to introduce him for about a year. But Obinne was focused on her studies at the time and couldn’t be bothered. But then, in 2013, at this same relative’s graduation party, Michael finangled his way into an introduction on the dance floor and managed to get Obinne’s number from her, which eventually led to a sushi date, that eventually resulted in a full-blown relationship.Interestingly, though Obinne and Michael come from different backgrounds, Obinne feels that their love was meant to be since the two of them grew up in the same neighborhood and went to the same private elementary school, but didn’t cross paths. That is until it was time to say “I do.” Please enjoy this stunning expression of Obinne’s Nigerian culture and Michael’s Cameroonian traditions as they tied the knot at the stunning Delta Hotels Baltimore Hunt Valley in Hunt Valley, Md.
