Connections can happen in the most unexpected ways. And on social media, you never know who might be watching what you’re posting. Tayo was an avid philanthropist and involved in a program called the World Race. While she shared her triumphs and trials with the world on social media, she caught the eye of Craig, who made it a point of following the stories of black fellow World Racers. After casually connecting and following along, a comment on his social media post got Craig’s attention. At some point along the way, the two had become friends on Facebook and Tayo, after heeding a call from God to return home to the D.C. area, was standing in front of a banner for the Washington D.C. chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants. Craig was excited by this as he’d recently decided to move to D.C. himself to become a lawyer. From there, the social media commentary led to hours-long phone calls and then into full-blown dating. About one year after they’d begun dating, Craig knew Tayo was the woman of his dreams and he proposed to her after she stood in for an editorial photoshoot in front of the Lincoln Memorial.
After a whirlwind courtship and engagement, Tayo and Craig looked forward to their blissful wedding ceremony at Camelot by Martin’s in Upper Marlboro, Md. But before they could get to the vow exchanges, they anxiously and excitedly got ready at their respective hotel rooms at the Fairmont Washington with theirs bridesmaids and groomsmen.
Surrounded in a sea full of stunning, elegant florals! Tayo and her bridesmaids had a great time as they helped their girl prepare for her big day.
The back on Tayo’s dress is absolutley exquisite! Who needs a sleeveless gown when you have something as intricate and elegant as this?
While we’re certainly big fans of the classic black tuxedo, there’s something extra crisp about a man who can pull off a white tuxedo jacket!
While Tayo and Craig’s first look moment was very intimate, they had plenty of admirers looking on as the happy couple laid eyes on each other for the first time on their wedding day.
After the First Look was over, the bridal party headed into their limos and made their to the wedding ceremony venue at the Church of the Atonement in Silver Spring, Md.
A mother’s prayer is potent and often the one that reaches God’s ears first. Tayo’s mother was in full prayer warrior mode as she cheered the happy couple on.
Mission accomplished! After a spiritually rich wedding ceremony, full of blessings, heart-filled emotions and powerful promises, Tayo and Craig are now officially married!
The king and queen survey the land and scenery that is under their complete domain. Just kidding! But don’t they look like a royal couple about to host a fantastic ball?
The money spray is always the most lit part of a Nigerian wedding affair. It’s pretty much a contest to see who can make it rain the most on the happily wedded couple and we’re here for it!
Congratulations, Tayo and Craig! We are so honored you chose us as your photographers for your special day. We wish you blessings, bounty and prosperity as you embark on your journey as Mr. and Mrs.
