More often than not, we wake up and go about our days without giving much thought to what is going to happen next. We make plans, we decide to go out and spend time with friends and family, and we enjoy our day to day lives. But then, there are those magical moments that creep in and change everything – those little moments that lead to so much more. Such is what happened to Adjoa and Alex – two people who decided to go out to brunch with their friends, and ended up husband and wife. When they met, Alex kissed Adjoa on the cheek – a sweet gesture she thought very bold. However, through intense conversation from the beginning, they began to see a connection grow between them – and realized that their families already shared a strong connection as well. This, of course, only served to draw them closer together immediately.
After becoming fast friends, the romance grew quickly. They both enjoyed going to movies and trying new things, traveling, and going on adventures together. Alex proposed over Thanksgiving, spreading rose petals all over the bed before Adjoa walked into the room. She had been strongly agitated after being unable to reach him, but once she realized what was happening, she was thrilled. They both looked forward to becoming husband and wife, and eagerly awaited the ceremony they were going to share with their friends and family. We wedding photographers from Judah Avenue connected with the couple as Adjoa got ready for her big moment in the Mayflower Hotel in Washington D.C.
Surrounded by her bridesmaids, Adjoa got her makeup and hair done, then slipped into her dress. True to their unique style, Adjoa chose white for each of her bridesmaids as well as herself, and the sight of them together was enough to give onlookers goosebumps. Meanwhile, Alex also got ready for the big moment surrounded by his own supporters.
Guests were already filling the pews of the church, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the wedding party. Once the procession began, the entire ceremony became magical. Adjoa brought tears to the eyes of more than one onlooker as she walked up the aisle, making ready to meet with her husband. They shared their vows with each other in a memorable moment, and the kiss they shared brought chills to everyone in the room. Afterward, we wedding photographers took the opportunity to snap a few photos of the bride and groom along with their parties – but it wasn’t long before it was time to get to the celebration. The hall had been elaborately decorated by BCG events in honor of the event, and the regal cake stood in the corner on a table, standing majestically above all else.
It wasn’t long before guests began filling the room, and the good times began. Between the laughter and jokes that were spread throughout the room and the toasts and speeches that were given in honor of the bride and groom, the entire room came to life. Blessings were offered by all, and it was clear that each person strongly supported the union of this beautiful couple. Of course, we were sure to take photos of everything, from the oldest to the youngest getting in on the action. Guests were dressed in the liveliest of apparel, some even donning traditional clothing in celebration of the event.
