In life, there are some things that just seem to be so cliché that they are meant to be in a move – like the thought of meeting the love of your life at a wedding. But, that’s just what happened to Ogechi and Brian. Ogechi was a bridesmaid at her cousin’s wedding, and Brian had been invited as a guest. Though their love story unfolded into something amazing, their first impressions were quite different. Brian thought Ogechi was simply stunning, while Ogechi, on the other hand, thought Brian was a wedding crasher. They chatted for a while throughout the evening, hitting it off well. After exchanging numbers, they went their separate ways.
The couple went on their first date a few days later, having fun dining and exploring at a local plaza. There was a clear spark between them, and after two years of dating, that spark had only grown. They decided to go on a warm vacation in October of 2016 for Ogechi’s birthday – when Brian proposed. He had orchestrated a fancy dinner, including a small band of singers and a private waiter. At the end of the meal he proposed, and she, of course, said yes. The couple chose the Fair Oaks Marriott in Fairfax Virginia, surrounded by their friends and family. This was one of the most fun bridal parties we have ever attended with champagne and laughter passed around the room. Brian, too, was having a good time getting ready for the big moment with his groomsmen by his side.
Before the ceremony, we took the opportunity to snap a few photos of the company all together, capturing the beauty of this couple surrounded by their loved ones. Then, it was off to the location. Ogechi and Brian exchanged their vows at the St. Timothy Catholic Church in Chantilly, VA. It was a smaller ceremony, with close friends and family members in attendance. The couple looked beautiful as they pledged their lives to each other, and even more stunning when we snapped a few photos of them as newlyweds outside the church.Whether we were photographing them as a group, a couple, or individuals, each photo stole the show. Then, it was on to the reception. The reception hall of the Waterford at Fair Oaks had been luxuriously decorated for the event, and guests were already taking their places inside. Immediately, the celebration took place. There was dancing, there was laughter, and there were many guests dressed in the traditional attire. With the perfect blend of traditional and modern, this ceremony proved to be one that no one would forget any time soon. It was so fabulous seeing the bride and groom change.Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your special day, it’s clear that you are going to have many, many beautiful years together, and all of us here at Judah Avenue want to extend our congratulations.
