Getting together with friends is something everyone looks forward to, especially when that means there is going to be some fun times in the pool. However, not everyone expects meeting up with friends is going to end in a lifetime of happiness. This is exactly what happened to Jenae and Ian. Jenae and Ian met at a mutual friend’s house for a pool party, and immediately hit it off. It wasn’t long before they had their first date at a romantic Thai restaurant in VA before heading off together to see a movie. Of course, that first date was the first of many. One that would lead us to their wedding on this beautiful windswept day at Celebrations at the Bay in Pasedena, Maryland.
Ian asked Jenae to be his wife at a family brunch in Washington, DC, and Jenae remembers it being really special because they were being surrounded by their loved ones, and from that moment on looked forward to the moment she could say “I do,” and celebrate with each and every one of them.
As wedding photographers, we love getting the chance to see a bride from the moment she begins getting ready for her big moment to the final parting shot, and we were thrilled to find our beautiful bride Jenae surrounded by her friends and family as she prepared for her wedding day. Each of the bridesmaids were eager to lend a hand in the process in any way they could, and the sight of them surrounding Jenae as she slipped into her dress only showed how much they love her. Of course, we snapped a few shots of Jenae surrounded by her bridesmaids before they left for the ceremony.
Meanwhile, Ian also prepared for the moment surrounded by his own friends and loved ones. By the time he had put on his suit, shoes, and slipped on his bowtie and watch, he looked as sharp as anyone inside a bridal magazine. All his groomsmen followed suit, and the entire company was ready. We love how Ian took a moment to write a letter to his beautiful bride.
Then, it was on to the location! The couple had selected a glorious location at The Bay in Pasadena, MD, where all the guests were already gathering in their seats on the dock. Then, the wedding procession began! The flower girls looked as elegant as mermaids as they prepared the way for Jenae’s arrival, and when she did walk up the aisle, her beauty invoked tears from all who were present. Jenae herself was moved with emotion as she reached the front of the gathering and took her place beside Ian. After they lovingly exchanged their vows, everyone cheered, and we wedding photographers took the opportunity to snap a few photos of the newlyweds.
The sight of the couple standing on the doc was purely enchanting with the deep blue sea behind them and Jenae’s gown blowing in the breeze. Talk about a fairytale wedding day! Then, it was time for the real celebration to begin! The Bay had been luxuriously decorated for the big event, with delicate pink tablecloths gracing every table, and glorious decorations adding to the regal atmosphere. The cake stood tall and proud among a group of tea lights, only furthering the luxury of the event. It wasn’t long before guests began filling the chairs surrounding each of the tables, and the fun began. Speeches and blessings filled the air as each person congratulated the new couple on the next chapter in their lives, and, of course, the room was filled with plenty of dancing. Amongst cutting the cake, retrieving the garter, and tossing the bouquet, it seemed the fun would never end. Even the youngest members of the party got on board with the dancing and celebration. At the end of the night, we snapped a few parting photos of the bride on the stairs as she showed off her personalized All Stars – the perfect ending to a perfect day, and the perfect beginning to an All Star life.Thank you both so much for allowing us to be a part of your special day, without a doubt you are going to have many, many beautiful years together, and all of us here at Judah Avenue want to extend our blessings.
