Planning a surprise engagement proposal is one of those things that can set the tone for this new season in your life. If you do a great job of it , you are not only guaranteed a solid” YES” but can provide insight to your commitment to the marriage in the years to come. Ryan showed exceptional devotion. Not only did he select a beautiful and meaningful location but he made sure there were professional photographers present to capture the moment. It happened at sunset and the photos were simply magical. As they say, life is full of surprises, and there are times that they happen seemingly right out of the blue. Few people know this better than Jackie, who after all was said and done, got the biggest surprise of her entire life.
She started the day just like any other as she and her boyfriend, Ryan, were heading home from visiting family. Thinking that they were going to be visiting another relative’s wedding, Jackie spent the morning getting her hair done, her makeup done, and getting dressed up in a new dress she had recently purchased for the event. As a car was sent to pick her up, we photographers were working closely with Ryan to set up the perfect moment at the Castle Hill Inn in Newport, Rhode Island. He was dressed in a dashing blue suit with a black bowtie, and we snapped a few shots of both him and the lighthouse before ducking out of view as Jackie walked up.She’d gotten lost on the path, but we still managed to get out of sight before she arrived. Ryan wasted no time in getting down on one knee and presenting her with the ring, asking her to be his wife. The look of pure joy on her face as she agreed was priceless. After sharing a romantic kiss, he revealed us to her, and again the look was priceless. We then spent the rest of the afternoon snapping photos of the newly engaged couple, starting right there on the water and going onto the grounds of the Inn. No matter where we were or what pose the couple struck, it is obvious these two wonderful people are meant for each other.
