One of the most fun things about being a wedding photographer is the chance to travel all over our beautiful part of the country to play a part in someone’s special day. Earlier this month, we found ourselves in one of the luxurious rooms at the Embassy Suites in Linthicum Heights, Maryland to photograph the gorgeous Miss Emily and her soon to be husband, Justin who got married at Overhills Mansion in Catonsville, Maryland
Her dress and shoes sparkled in the light, reflecting the excitement that was found on everyone’s faces as the bridesmaids helped their bride get ready for her special moment. The anticipation is clearly written on everyone’s faces as they help her into her gorgeous gown and fix her hair.
The flower girls looked like little angels as they watched all the preparation take place – and they weren’t the only ones. Over in the groom’s quarters the little ring bearer also looked angelic as he watched the groom and his men make ready for the big event. The good times rolled as each helped the other with their buttons and ties, then enjoyed some table sports as they waited for the time to come.
At last, everyone piled into their vehicles and it was off to the event! The ceremony took place in Catonsville, in the historic Overhills Mansion, which had been elaborately decorated for the event. The vintage feel to the décor gave the entire ceremony an unprecedented charm, and the loving support from friends and family was overwhelmingly evident as everyone eagerly found their seats and waited for the bride to appear.
There were many tears of joy shed during the beautiful exchanging of vows, even the bride herself needed a moment. We wedding photographers are always thrilled to capture the moment the new couple seals their relationship with a kiss, then we took the opportunity to snap photos of both the bride and groom with their parties.
But that was just the beginning of the celebration. In the ballroom, friends and family were already gathering to celebrate the new life Emily and Justin were about to begin. With the luxurious cake at center stage, the entire room looked like a scene out of a fairy tale.
Dancing and well wishes flooded the room as the bride took turns dancing with her father and her new husband. Friends and family alike got down to the music, and joyfully joined the celebration.
After the speeches, the cake was cut and the bouquet was tossed, then the rest of the afternoon was spent with more dancing and celebrating. We photographers eagerly snapped as many photos as we could of the action. At last, the bride and groom were ready to leave and begin their new life as a married couple, so friends and family eagerly lined the way to their car waving streamers and wishing them all the best in front of Overhills Mansion. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of this special day, and we also wish Emily and Justin eternal happiness!Judah Avenue photographers are wedding and lifestyle photographers working out of Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia.
