Bridal Beauty Shot

It seems like one shot posts are all I am able to do these days, so if that is all I get, why not make it a stunner…and that’s just what I thought of this portrait of Autumn on her wedding day – she was a beautiful and stunning bride. I love the honeyed softness of this shot and the subtle way her skin glows. Every bride should get a beauty shot if time permits! I will bring wedding pictures sometime soon. Cheers!

April 19, 2011 - 11:48 pm Melissa - If there ever is anything as a perfect shot, this is it, you should send it to Essence or Ebony Magazine, girl you're good! I'll be up all night tonight:)

April 20, 2011 - 6:41 am Jana - Awww, a true beauty shot, I love this and FYI I want one just like this!

April 20, 2011 - 6:48 am Adana - I can imagine this framed up on the fire place, it's very classic, i'm sure the bride loves it. Who did her make up?

April 20, 2011 - 6:52 am Hola - Is this the same girl in the engagement pictures below? It doesn't even look like the same person, I love it, great job Judah Avenue.

April 20, 2011 - 7:04 am Liz'beth - This belongs in a make-up publication, Hellloo covergirl! nice.

April 28, 2011 - 7:47 am dotun - Lovely shot all the way...good skin rendition.

May 17, 2011 - 9:51 am wale ariztos - lovely shot. gorgeous bride.

Sneak Peak: Grace and Gabriel {Washington DC Engagement Photography}

We set out on this shoot with high hopes for a promised 60 degree weather day, however, when we got on location -a cozy little trail in College Park- it was freezing cold! Despite the frigid temperatures, Grace and Gabriel were resilient and found many things to joke about. Here is a sneak peak of their engagement shoot. This picture is heartwarming to me because when I first met Grace, she told me how much she loved Gabriel’s laugh and this shot says it all…

March 13, 2011 - 12:36 am Jaycee - Pretty Pretty Pretty, this picture has soo much emotion, you did well to capture this, great job, I'm sure they love it.

March 13, 2011 - 12:39 am Shirley - Awwww love it, look at that basket of flowers, totally Kuul.

March 13, 2011 - 6:39 pm rach hendericks - Are you kidding me, you need to stop with this sneak preview stuff, can't wait to see the full shoot,

March 13, 2011 - 6:40 pm steve - Beautiful, you can really feel the season.

April 12, 2011 - 6:09 am lainey - It has been a pleasure working with you these past few weeks, Your work is top notch and I will recommend you to everybody I know, keep in touch!

To fall in love with Autumn {Washington DC Engagement Photography}

So, its not that I don’t believe in black and white shots, I love them, but this Fall engagement shoot made it so difficult for me to choose any black and white shots for the blog. I love love loved every single image and could not resist presenting this post to you in beautiful riotous fresh color. I’m not going to rhapsodize about the beautiful magical light but yes the amazingly fabulous and warm lighting is every reason why more people should get engaged in the fall. This couple is not only beautiful for my pictures but soothing for the spirit. The bride-to-be, also called Autumn, is a talented violinist and when she played I wanted to put down my camera and just lie by the lake and lose myself in the sweeping streams of violin. Hope you guys enjoy viewing the photos as much as I did taking them. Congratulations to Autumn and Suleman (who fell in love with Autumn!)
