And for Aida and Betre, they blended American traditions with Ethiopian traditions in a way that honored both cultures well. As wedding photographers, we have the pleasure of photographing the weddings of couples from countries all across the globe, but the Ethiopian weddings are unique. There’s an air of history that steeps from their wedding ceremony and also an incredible sense of pride in their wedding garments, which make them look kings and queens. Aida and Betre met back when they were in college, and over the last 10 years of their courtship, they’ve gotten to know each other on a level that made marriage a natural next step for them.
