Love blooms in mysterious places. While it’s no longer taboo to meet and date people from online dating sites, Chichi and Nkemdi’s romance blossomed on a mobile app. No, not Tinder. It was Words with Friends. The two lovebirds had some mutual connections (his uncle knew her uncle) but they were relative strangers when they connected over Facebook, and later, Words with Friends.
The two were extremely competitive and Nkemdi often bested Chichi at the game, but the conversations that sparked from the games led to a friendship and eventually a romance that developed following a conversation on Facebook Messenger. But on their wedding day, Chichi and Nkemdi weren’t at a loss for words as they adoringly stared into each other’s eyes.
Chichi and Nkemdi are both descended from royal lineage in Nigeria, so purple, which is said to be the color of royalty, seems fitting for their big day. They incorporated pops of purple in their bouquet, bridesmaids dresses and decor.
