Judah Avenue

Taiese lived a couple doors down from Yours Truly in the only girls’ dorm at the University of Maryland, College Park.  Her and Kyle’s relationship budded in front of my very eyes and I still can’t believe they are here, years later, engaged. It’s all so surreal. They are perfect for each other and I say this not because they are friends but because they really do complement each other.

From behind my lens I saw how they interacted and blossomed in each other’s presence. You could feel how much they genuinely liked and enjoyed each other’s company, which is a blessing in any relationship.  Their love is palpable. I only hope I have been able to sufficiently capture their feelings at this special time. It is my hope that even their grandchildren will look back upon these pictures and see the meaning of true love. Go Terps! View full post »

Sometimes it can be challenging to get good shots in harsh sunlight, and that’s just what we faced for Kyle and Taiese’s engagement session: wicked sun and muggy heat. Despite that we found so many lovely places to shoot. I loved this picture because of the warm and cozy light streaming in through the leaves. In this particular shot, the situation is quite dire : )  ”Tai, please marry me before these cars run me over.” But the light was indeed perfect.
